Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Kandilli Rasathanesi ve Deprem Araştırma Enstitüsünden alınan bilgiye göre, gece saat 01.22'de merkez üssü Ege Denizi olan bir deprem kaydedildi.
Yerin 5 kilometre derinliğinde meydana geldiği tespit edilen depremin aletsel büyüklüğü ise 4.0 olarak belirlendi.
Depremin ardından 10 dakika içerisinde merkez üssü Seferihisar olan ve en büyüğü 3.1 olarak ölçülen 3 deprem daha meydana geldi.
Deprem İzmir ve çevre ilçelerde de hissedilirken, can ve mal kaybının yaşanmadığı öğrenildi
